If you know Acer is already set with the launch of its latest android tablet Iconia B1 which will just cost around $100, now it seems to play a similar game in the Windows 8 platform, though we cannot expect the same aggressive pricing with Windows 8 considering the fact that Windows 8 is not an Open source OS and secondly Microsoft sets its own restrictions on type of hardware its OS should run. But if you look at the current offering from the company Iconia W510 which is priced at $500 seems to attract very little buyers, Acer feels it could be mainly due to its pricing.
I am just wondering could we see a windows 8 tablet at around $300 mark in the coming year? I feel its highly possible and if it so happens Windows 8 platform might very well see a boost among its early adopters.
